Our auction employs a process where we ask the auction site user to go through a verification process through PayPal. The current charge is $1.00 for non-AMA members and covers transaction fees charged by PayPal to go through their system. This process ensures the user's authenticity and helps to eliminate fraudulent bidders.

Auction site members do not have to become verified to buy and sell, however Sellers can enable their auctions to accept bids from verified members only if they so choose. We have added this feature to help ensure a safe service to our buyers and sellers and help to deter fraud.

AMA members in good standing do not have to go through this verification process or pay this fee. We will upgrade your account to Verified Status as we see them become active, typically within 12 hours of your new registration. A modification is in the works to do this automatically.
