DUAL CONTROLLERÑIPOD OR WALKMAN

When the iCue2 is powered up, an array of lights ignite on the top of the display near the antenna. The two closest to the

antenna are used at Start-up to indicate whether the iCue2 is set-up to control either the iPod or the Walkman (Green for

Walkman, Red for iPod). The iPod and Walkman react differently to the commands made from the transmitter. For this

reason, it was necessary to program the iCue2 with both sets of protocols. Only one unit should be hooked up at a time to

the receiver, never both.

REMOTE START-UP

This feature makes set-up easy. Push just one button (Pause/Play) on the transmitter after hooking up the portable player

to the iCue2. This will start the player and cue up the ¥ rst track. The iCue2 transmitter and receiver will automatically be

synchronized. One touch and users are ready to begin their program, show or presentation!

DIRECT SYNCHRONIZATION (DIRECT SYNC)

The iCue2 has been programmed to automatically sync track numbers with supported players. Bi-communication software

creates security of operation. This feature is automatically initiated at start-up.

ICue2 is the worldÕs ¥ rst direct synchronization protocol ever accomplished for the Sony Walkman line of players, i.e.

CD, MD, or HiMD players. This development was four years in the making, and music-by-remote will never be the same!

The iCue2 SMART-CHIP taps directly into both the iPod Walkman MD/HiMD player brains, asking questions, and getting

answers. Once connected, the iCue2 brain posts up the real time tracking, track status, track number and con¥ rms it 100

times a second. This means that the LED display represents the exact track number as it appears on the Walkman itself. This

crucial information enables navigation quickly through tracks and provides absolute assurance that the track on the player

is exactly the one required. The Display blinks in Stand-by Mode (while the Walkman display blinks), and automatically

correct itself, insuring that the iCue itself 2 is accurately re¥ ecting the player sequence.
