A PostCard from the Ben Reeves ScrapBook.
Measures: 3 3/8x5 3/8.
I tried to find out more about Ben Reeves, but this was pretty limited. What I did find out is that he ran away from home when he was young and joined the Circus. Over the course of his travels, he met many fascinating people, including Harry Houdini.
The reason I ran into a wall, with my research, was due to the fact the ONLY information I was able to obtain came from the person I bought this scrapbook from several years ago.
Seems 'the daughter' of Ben Reeves had A LOT more material he wanted to buy, so he wouldn't put me in contact with her. This I could understand, but it would have been nice had he gotten more information on this unique man.
This Scrapbook consisted of a collection of over 100 Postcards, Photos etc. Ben Reeves accumulated during his travels during the 19teens, 1920s and 1930s.
The Scrapbook came from Ben Reeves’ daughter.
There are remnants of the scrapbook on the backside. |
