Hardbound, measures 5"x7 1/4" with 78pages.
Printed and published, in 1921, by Will Goldston, Ltd. London.
Stated "British Edition", but no other editions were published.
On the free end page, across from the Index page, there’s a printed dedication label reading:
To My Dear Friend
HARRY KELLAR
Dean of Magic & Master of Mysteries
"HOUDINI"
I once read the Kellar dedication label is present in less than half of the copies encountered.
About a dozen pages have a small stain, in the border area. Slight wear to the cover corners. The bindings are nice and tight. The spine is complete.
The photos, above, show the Great Condition of this book. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 8.
It Really needs to be seen, to be appreciated.

TheHoudini escape and rope tie book -- British Edition, by Goldston, was a rip off from Burling Hull's Rope and Escape book. Burling was tipped to it and had the Feds stop it from entering the U.S. Houdini who knew only that he gave Goldston permission to print a book of escapes with his name on it was very upset. He called Burling and made a deal with him. That is how only a few of the books got into this country. Bev Bergeron |
