This auction is for a Peter Austin ORIGINAL. This is one of his UNIQUE creations and as far as we know the ONLY one of its kind in existence! He has guarded this Magic for the last 10 years and now he is ready to let this one out of his private collection…

EFFECT:
The magician brings out a beautifully painted Oriental box with two doors (front and back) and two big holes on the opposite sides. He explains how this mysterious magical box has been handed down through hundreds of years of magician generations. He opens both doors and the audience can clearly see through the box and the big holes on the sides. The magician puts his hand through the box and his fingers through the holes to assure no tricky stuff like wires or mirrors are being used… He then closes the doors and with a wave of the magic wand, he reaches inside one of the holes on the side and seems to grab something. Suddenly you see a RED silk… he keeps pulling and then you see that it is tied to a white silk! He keeps pulling and now its tied to a yellow, a blue, an orange, pink, black, purple, all tied together! SEVEN more silks come out tied to each other, the audience is dumbfounded!

With a look of total disbelief, the magician opens the doors (front and back) to again check inside. Again he shows it to be totally empty and runs his hand through the opening and then closes the doors. He then reaches into his left pocket and pulls a large red sponge ball. Then he reaches into his right pocket and pulls out a large Yellow Sponge ball. “This is a pair of magical sponge balls, a momma and papa… I keep them in separate pockets so they don’t have babies, they multiply faster than rabbits! Watch…” He inserts each ball into one of the holes on the side of the box. A wave of the magic wand, and he again opens the door. “Is that amazing or what kids” but the kids go wild saying “Mama is gone!” “Oh, I forgot, mama is very shy…” He reaches in his pocket and sure enough there is mama… “OK Mama, don’t be shy…” The door is once again closed and both mama and papa are put back into the box through one of the holes on the side of the box. A wave of the wand and the doors are opened again…. “AND NOW, INTRODUCING THE SPONGE BALL FAMILY, MAMA, PAPA, AND BABIES!” The kids start screaming “THEY’RE GONE, THEY’RE GONE!” The magician looks only to find that it’s true, mama and papa are really gone! He checks his pockets but this time neither momma nor papa are there!

At this point the kids are going wild… “OK Kids, I need your magical powers to help bring back mama and papa, you have to help me, I need them for my next show! At the count of three I want you all to say ABRACADABRA! Ready? OK… One… two… three! The magician takes his wand and passes it over the box but this time fire and sparks come out of the wand! The magician picks up the box and opens the door and this time its FILLED TO THE TOP WITH SMALL RED AND YELLOW BABY SPONGE BALLS! As the balls spill out onto the floor the magician gets a huge round of applause!

The routine you just read is just one way of using this awesome piece of magic. It can be used with many different items and props (even small live stock) that fits the same confinements as silks and sponge balls. This is Peter’s routine and basic patter and he has given his permission to anyone who would like to use it.
