Bob Elliott Tribute Program 2007

Here's a booklet titled "A Tribute To Bob Elliott In 2007", a rare and limited edition program that I printed a few hundred copies of last year. The size is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", with more than 50 pages total.

Bob Elliott and his wife Happy were well-known in the New York and East Coast magic scenes for many decades. He helped David Copperfield get his first job teaching magic at New York State University. When the couple retired to the West Coast, the San Diego magic club Ring 76 of the International Brotherhood of Magician's held a surprise award program for him. David Copperfield even called up to spring the surprise, via audioconference.

Bob's wife Happy wrote a great tribute too, filled with their history and the unique life they've led.

There are also resolutions, proclamations and awards from Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rep. Susan Davis, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Senator Mark Wyland and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, which named July 22, 2007, as Bob Elliott Day throughout San Diego County.

There are cool photos including one of Bob and Happy on the back cover, plus other early shots of David Copperfield, David Blaine, Harry Anderson, Tom Mullica, Lennert Green, Harry Lorayne, Derek Dingle and Dr. Jeff Pearson, all hanging out with Bob.

If you ever attended Tannen's Magic Camp, you probably know who Bob is. He's still alive and kicking these days. In early September I saw him performing magic at a charity event to honor wounded veterans of the Marine Corps. Of course, he was a big hit! If you're ever in San Diego, come to one of the Ring 76 magic meetings, and you can get Bob to autograph this. He'll probably even show you a trick or two. He's well-known as the great giver of magic.
